A company holding an Economic Development Tax Incentive (EDTI) Certificate may apply to NIPC for an extension of its priority period. An EDTI Certificate may be extended for an additional period of five years, and no more, on the condition that the priority company reinvests 100% of its priority profits for expansion of the same products or services.
The Executive Secretary of NIPC receives and processes applications for EDTI extension, and the Nigeria Revenue Service verifies that the company has reinvested 100% of its EDTI profit for expansion of the same products or services before NIPC notifies the company of the outcome.
