Following a two-year partnership with Horasis Nigeria, NIPC will host the Presidential Innovation Investment Forum and the inaugural Horasis Africa meeting, amongst other activities lined up for 2022. NIPC signed a contract with Horasis in 2021 to host the annual Horasis Global Business meetings on the African continent, with NIPC serving as the anchor government institution partner.
"NIPC will, within her mandate, continue to provide all the necessary support that Horasis Nigeria needs to successfully execute these laudable projects of economic importance," said Ag. ES/CEO Mr Emeka Offor. Other planned activities for the year include the launch of a Disruptive Innovation Centre in the FCT, a Cross-Border Food Trade Forum and Digital Food Trade Ecosystem in collaboration with OneAgrix, and the aggregation of Nigeria's top 500 Icons of Innovation list.
NIPC is also collaborating with the Nigerian Governors' Forum (NGF) and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) to host the annual Horasis meetings. Horasis is an independent, international think tank headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland. The Nigerian chapter is led by Dr Shamsuddeen Usman, with Dr Noel Akpata serving as Horasis Africa Director.
