On 8 July 2024, the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) was represented by Mr Emmanuel W. Longza, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Department, at the Africa Descendants in Diaspora Pre-Business Investment Summit in Abuja, organised by the African Diaspora Union (AFRIDU). The event highlighted Nigeria's vast investment and market opportunities.
With participants from Guyana, Texas USA, Atlanta Georgia, Illinois State, Delaware and the Caribbean, the summit set the stage for increased international investment by African descendants in the Diaspora. NIPC plays a crucial role in fostering these investments, driving economic growth and encouraging private sector participation, and looks forward to the main event scheduled for October 2024.
