Day 3 of the North West working visit saw the Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC, Ms Aisha Rimi, and her team meet with His Excellency Mal Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, Governor of Katsina State.
Katsina State is making significant strides across various sectors, including the launch of the Katsina Geographic Information System (KAGIS), which processes Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) within four weeks; an upcoming rail line and extensive road network upgrades enhancing connectivity; a vibrant agricultural sector focused on cotton, groundnuts, and maize; progress in mining with investments in limestone, kaolin, and silica; infrastructure improvements including industrial parks and road networks; educational initiatives to build a skilled workforce; and strategic support for SMEs to improve the business environment and attract more investment.
The State is actively seeking investors across agriculture, with a focus on expanding crop production and processing; mining, to add value to the mining value chain; and solar energy, to develop solar panels and related products, presenting NIPC with further opportunities to facilitate investment partnerships in the region.
