In continuation of its official tour of companies in the South West region, the Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC, Ms Aisha Rimi, and her team held a productive meeting with His Excellency Matsunaga Kazuyoshi, the Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Tokashi Oku, Managing Director and Trade Commissioner of JETRO, and executives from Honda Manufacturing (Nigeria) Limited.
The discussions focused on how NIPC can assist Honda Manufacturing with its Nigerian operations.
Honda's assembly plant in Nigeria currently produces 40,000 units of motorcycles and 150 units of its sporty HR-V model annually, underscoring the significant manufacturing potential the Commission is working to support and expand through continued engagement with Japanese investors.
