In an effort to strengthen cooperation with sub-nationals, Ms Aisha Rimi, Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State. The meeting focused on several key areas to enhance economic prosperity and development for the State, the sub-region, and the nation as a whole.
Discussions centred on strengthening the existing relationship between NIPC and Lagos State, with both leaders exploring ways to deepen collaborative efforts that have been mutually beneficial, ensuring sustained and improved cooperation for future initiatives.
The two sides also discussed collaboration on investment facilitation, emphasising the creation of effective frameworks to coordinate, attract, and manage investments. The engagement is expected to yield significant outcomes, including increased investment inflows, job creation, and continued economic diversification for Lagos State, marking a pivotal step towards a more prosperous and investor-friendly environment across the country.
