NIPC Joins 3rd African Natural Resources and Energy Summit (AFINS) 2024 01

Hajja Gana Wakil, Director of Investor Relations, represented the Commission at the 3rd edition of the African Natural Resources and Energy Summit (AFINS), held from 16 to 18 July 2024 at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja. Organised by Core International Mining Company and the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, and endorsed by eight key MDAs including NIPC, the summit brought together experts in the mining, power and energy sectors to strategically develop Africa's natural resources for the benefit of all Africans.

Under the theme 'Natural Resources for Economic Development', AFINS 2024 highlighted the critical role of Africa's natural resources in driving economic prosperity, empowering marginalised communities and funding the transition to a greener future.

Hajja Gana Wakil delivered remarks at the panel session on 'Exploring Opportunities in Mining, Energy, and Infrastructure Financing', emphasising the vast investment opportunities and incentives in these sectors, and reiterated the Commission's commitment to collaborating with stakeholders and supporting investors interested in Nigeria.

Also representing NIPC at the event were Florence Njegbu, AD (IP); Patience Iruke, CIO (PA); Shuaibu Enejo, CIO (PA); Aisha Mundi, PIO (IR); and Salisu Halilu, SP (IP).

NIPC extended its appreciation to the organisers and the Hon Minister of Solid Minerals Development for hosting the event.
