On 25 July 2024, Ms Ellen Zhenji Liu from Huawei Technology Co., Nig. Ltd. visited NIPC to reinforce the collaboration between the two organisations and offer support. The visit follows a June 2024 meeting in Beijing during the China-Nigeria Business Exchange, where Ms Aisha Rimi, CEO of NIPC, and Ms Liu discussed boosting technological advancements, foreign investments and economic ties between Nigeria and China. Huawei aims to enhance Nigeria's digital infrastructure with its advanced technology in 5G, smartphones and cloud services.
Additionally, Ms Rimi hosted Mr Zhensheng Li from the China-Africa Economic Trade Promotion Council (CAETPC) to explore investment opportunities in agriculture, water irrigation and technology. CAETPC is dedicated to strengthening economic and trade relations between China and Africa, supporting projects for sustainable development and mutual growth.
