On 27 July 2024, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with states across the country, Ms Aisha Rimi, Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC, and her team met with His Excellency Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State. Plateau is renowned for its rich mining, agriculture and ecotourism sectors, offering abundant opportunities across the value chain.
Governor Mutfwang emphasised the state's commitment to creating an enabling environment and nurturing public-private partnerships. He also highlighted Plateau's strategic position within the Northcentral region and as the gateway to Nigeria's Northeastern region, along with its distinction as home to Africa's second-largest urban wildlife park. These sectors, with their vast potential, are key to the economic development of the region.
NIPC reaffirmed its commitment to working with the Plateau State Government to develop these opportunities, driving sustainable economic growth for Plateau and Nigeria.
