On 18 November 2024, the Nigeria-China Economic and Trade Partnership Forum Roundtable convened at the Wells Carlton Hotel, Abuja, bringing together key stakeholders from Nigeria and China to deepen economic cooperation and open up new opportunities.

Organised by Overseas Business Development Synergy Limited and LVY Road International Company Limited, the event built on the success of the 1st China-Nigeria Economic Cooperation and Trade Conference held earlier in 2024 in Beijing.

The roundtable featured over 20 Chinese enterprises spanning sectors such as manufacturing, power, agriculture and more, alongside representatives from Nigerian Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and the Organised Private Sector (OPS).

The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) was represented by Mr Shettima Barma, Deputy Director, Department of Investment Promotion, and Ms Jane Uzoegwu, Assistant Director, Investment Promotion, who spotlighted Nigeria's vast investment opportunities.

In his keynote address, Mr Barma emphasised NIPC's commitment to fostering sustainable investments and enhancing bilateral trade between the two nations.

The roundtable marked a critical step toward sustainable partnerships and shared prosperity for Nigeria and China.
