On 16 January 2025, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) engaged with Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) to develop its potential as a premier hub for investment and economic activities.
Key highlights of the meeting included discussions on enhancing public-private partnerships, attracting foreign investment, and transforming TBS into a state-of-the-art convention centre that meets the growing needs of Lagos tourism and commerce.
With a rich history and a capacity of 55,000, TBS is poised for expansion and renovation, bringing new opportunities for events and cultural gatherings. Proposals such as a hospitality academy and modern facilities are on the table.
