On 20 January 2025, promising developments unfolded at the Third Round of Political Consultations between Nigeria and Egypt. The NIPC team, led by Mr Shettima Barma and Mr Rashid Ahmad, represented NIPC at the Business and Investment Forum held at the St Regis Hotel in Cairo from 16 to 20 January 2025.
Mr Shettima presented valuable insights on behalf of the ES/CEO, followed by dynamic B2B meetings that culminated in the signing of three important MoUs, witnessed by six esteemed ministers from both nations, all aimed at enhancing economic cooperation.
The signed MoUs focused on mechanisation and research development in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security; water management and training initiatives with the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation; and a strategic partnership in the oil and gas sector with PETROJET of Egypt.
The outlook for Nigerian investments is optimistic as NIPC pursues potential partnerships across various sectors and cultivates strategic alliances for sustainable growth.
