The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) hosted a high-level delegation led by the Ambassador of Finland to Nigeria, Ms Sanna Selin, to enhance bilateral relations and explore trade, investment and economic cooperation opportunities.
Key discussions covered strengthening trade and investment in technology, renewable energy, healthcare, circular economy and mining, alongside the One Stop Investment Centre (OSIC), which streamlines investor processes across 17 key agencies, and collaboration with State Investment Promotion Agencies (SIPAs) across Nigeria.
The two sides also discussed the Pioneer Status Incentive, which offers tax holidays to investors, and Finland's commitment to supporting companies investing in Nigeria, including upcoming events such as the Nordic-Nigeria Connect in Lagos.
Vocational training and economic cooperation projects were also discussed as part of efforts to drive development, with stronger partnerships and investor-friendly policies positioning Nigeria as a prime destination for global investment.
