On 20 March 2025, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) facilitated a high-level meeting in Lagos between Japanese investors, the Dangote Group and Lagos Free Zone, underscoring its commitment to attracting foreign investment into Nigeria.
This marked the investors' second visit to the country, demonstrating their sustained interest in exploring opportunities within Nigeria's thriving business landscape.
Prominent Japanese firms, including Mitsui & Co. and AAIC, were represented at the meeting, further solidifying international confidence in Nigeria's investment potential. NIPC was represented by Mrs Lovina Kayode, Director of Investor Relations, and Mr Benjamin Mgbemere, Deputy Director of Investor Relations.
The engagement highlighted NIPC's strategic role in fostering global partnerships and facilitating connections between international investors and key local stakeholders, with the Commission continuing to champion Nigeria's economic growth and development by driving investment, innovation and job creation.
