The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) is hosting a high-level business delegation from Brazil, featuring executives and technical experts from four leading companies (JBS, JBJ, Seara, and Ambar) on a strategic investment assessment tour across Nigeria.
The visit, which commenced on Sunday, 23 March 2025, aims to explore investment opportunities in key sectors such as livestock production, protein processing, agricultural logistics, and energy solutions, critical to Nigeria's economic diversification agenda.
JBS, the world's largest meat processing company, along with its investment partner JBJ, is assessing the feasibility of large-scale cattle ranching and meat processing facilities. Seara, a global leader in poultry and food production, is exploring Nigeria's cold chain and retail protein markets, while Ambar, an energy and technology company, is evaluating opportunities to develop power solutions and strengthen energy infrastructure for the national grid and industrial clusters.
The delegation engaged with senior government officials, toured agribusiness sites, and assessed key infrastructure across the Federal Capital Territory and Niger, Ogun, Lagos, and Cross River States, gaining valuable insights into Nigeria's agricultural landscape, urban food distribution networks, and energy sector. These engagements included site visits to major agro-processing facilities and industrial plants to assess energy needs and potential power solutions, with NIPC actively facilitating interactions between the delegation and key public and private sector stakeholders.
This initiative underscores NIPC's commitment to attracting high-impact investments that drive food security, industrial expansion, and enhanced energy access, with the Commission looking forward to translating these discussions into meaningful partnerships that align with Nigeria's development priorities and deliver long-term value.
