NIPC Participates in Nigeria-Sweden Business Forum to Strengthen Bilateral Investment Relations 01

On 8 April 2025, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) participated in the Nigeria-Sweden Business Forum in Lagos. Organised by the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden (Sweden's Trade and Invest Council), the forum was a key highlight of the official visit of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and the Swedish Minister for Infrastructure and Housing, Mr Andreas Carlson.

Representing the Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC, Ms Aisha Rimi, was Mr Emmanuel Longza, Deputy Director, Investment Promotion Department, who contributed to a high-level plenary panel on the forum's theme: 'Driving Sustainable Impact through Strategic Investments between Nigeria and Sweden.'

The session served as a strategic platform for NIPC to spotlight Nigeria's dynamic investment landscape and promote high-potential sectors such as renewable energy, precision agriculture, healthcare, technology, and research and development. With Sweden's global reputation for innovation and sustainability, the forum underscored the strong alignment between Swedish capabilities and Nigeria's investment priorities.

A major highlight of the visit was the official launch of the Swedish Trade Office in Lagos. This new hub is poised to facilitate deeper business collaboration, providing Swedish companies with a direct channel to explore investment opportunities in Nigeria's growing market.

NIPC's participation reaffirms its commitment to fostering strategic investment partnerships and positioning Nigeria as a premier destination for sustainable, long-term investments.
