The 1st Annual Legislative Conference & EXPO on Renewable Energy, held on 5–6 May 2025 in Lagos, brought together key stakeholders from government, the organised private sector, academia, and development partners to drive forward Nigeria's renewable energy agenda.

Mrs Uchenna Okonkwo, Deputy Director/Head, Incentives Administration, ably represented the Executive Secretary/CEO, Ms Aisha Rimi, and the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) as a panellist on the critical topic: "Fiscal & Tariff Incentives: Driving Investment and Market Growth."

At the heart of the conversations were legislative actions, policy development, and implementation strategies in collaboration with the UNDP, aiming to foster sustainable, inclusive energy growth.

NIPC's participation was pivotal, highlighting its strategic role in creating an enabling environment for renewable energy investment while showcasing the incentive frameworks and policy support mechanisms available to attract and retain investors in Nigeria's green energy sector.

NIPC looks forward to concrete legislative outcomes, strong policy reforms, and increased investor confidence that will accelerate Nigeria's transition to clean energy.
