Mrs Lovina Kayode, Director of Investor Relations at the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), represented the Commission at the 2025 Trade Facilitation Stakeholders Consultative Forum held in Lagos.
The forum, themed "Trade Facilitation Measures for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technology", provided a platform for NIPC to reaffirm its commitment to driving investment-friendly trade policies and aligning with national efforts to improve the business environment.
The event also marked the one-year anniversary of the Nigeria Customs Service's (NCS) Advanced Ruling Programme. Key initiatives presented by the NCS, including B'Odogwu (a Unified Customs Management System), the Authorised Economic Operator Programme, and the Time Release Study, highlight ongoing reforms to streamline trade processes and enhance investor confidence.
The Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, represented by DCG Caroline Niagwan, emphasised that these efforts align with the service's mandate to implement international trade laws and foster a more efficient trade landscape in Nigeria.
