The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) received delegates from Spotlight Nigeria and Trade with Africa, hosted by Mrs Lovina Kayode, Director of Investor Relations, and Mr Damola Olagunju, Technical Assistant to the Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC.
With over €6 billion in investment deals brokered, Spotlight Nigeria is bridging Nigerian-European business ties, although many subnational governments still lack the investment readiness and information needed to attract foreign investors.
The 8th Spotlight Nigeria event, taking place on 22 to 23 September in France under the theme "Translating Opportunities to Business Deals", will spotlight agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and creative industries.
The delegation also introduced Trade with Africa, which aims to boost intra-African trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), including plans to connect Nigeria's auto industry with Liberia's rubber sector and draw on Kenya's electric vehicle infrastructure, with a vision of making Nigeria a regional tyre manufacturing and distribution hub.
With a clear focus on sustainable growth, NIPC reiterated its dedication to enabling investment-driven partnerships and expanding Africa-wide trade networks.
