We had the privilege of introducing the Baladna Q.P.S.C. delegation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor of Ogun State, as part of their ongoing mission to establish a large-scale, vertically integrated dairy operation in Nigeria.
The visit, led by the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Commission, Ms Aisha Rimi, introduced the investors and highlighted the Commission's support for subnational engagement in attracting high-impact investments.
Baladna Q.P.S.C., Qatar's leading dairy producer, supplies over 95% of Qatar's fresh milk and operates one of the largest dairy farms in the Middle East. Nigeria currently meets only about 40% of its dairy needs locally and imports an estimated $1.3 to $1.5 billion worth of dairy products annually. With its vast arable land, proximity to major markets, and solid commitment to agribusiness, Ogun State presents a strong location for a transformative dairy project.
His Excellency reaffirmed the State Government's full support and shared his administration's broader vision for agricultural industrialisation and job creation.
This visit forms part of a broader national effort to localise dairy production across the country, reduce import dependence, and transform Nigeria into a regional dairy hub.
