NIPC Co-Hosts Nigeria–Brazil Business & Investment Forum in Brasília

The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment (FMITI), Nigeria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with ApexBrasil, SEBRAE, and Brazil's MDIC/MRE, co-organised a high-level Business & Investment Forum at SEBRAE Headquarters in Brasília, Brazil.

Bringing together over 200 public and private-sector leaders from both countries, the Forum focused on practical cooperation across food security and agribusiness, new industries and energy transition, and instruments to finance trade and investment. Several panel sessions advanced a modern South–South agenda: Nigeria's reform momentum and market scale (220m consumers with AfCFTA access) meeting Brazil's depth in agri-innovation, bioenergy, manufacturing, and MSME development.

One of the highlights of the day was the signing of NIPC's MoU with ApexBrasil, establishing a joint platform for investor promotion, reciprocal facilitation, and a fast-track helpdesk for priority projects, witnessed by H.E. Geraldo Alckmin, Vice President of Brazil, alongside senior officials and business leaders from both countries.

Other MoUs announced at the Forum included ApexBrasil–SEBRAE–SMEDAN and ABGF–Bank of Agriculture, plus instruments to facilitate air services and sector collaboration.

Over the past year, momentum has been building across priority sectors including livestock, seeds, education, energy, and waste management. Today's commitments are designed to translate that progress into bankable projects, expanded trade, technology transfer, and quality jobs across both markets.

NIPC stands ready to support investor entry and retention from the federal to sub-national, so that these partnerships move swiftly from intent to impact.
