Nigeria and Colombia Strengthen Bilateral Ties

NIPC Reception

On 1 September 2025, Nigeria and Colombia reaffirmed their commitment to deepen economic cooperation at a high-level bilateral engagement co-chaired by the Vice Presidents of both nations at the State House, Abuja.

The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) joined forces with ProColombia to spotlight trade and investment opportunities, with Mr Emmanuel Longza, Deputy Director of Investment Promotion, delivering Nigeria's country presentation on behalf of the Executive Secretary/CEO.

Key highlights included the signing of a landmark memorandum of understanding to boost political and economic ties, and a business and investment forum with B2B sessions across strategic sectors including agriculture, agribusiness, metal works and manufacturing, IT/digital economy, creative industry, and textile and apparel.

The engagement also strengthened Africa-Latin America cooperation to foster private sector partnerships, underscoring Nigeria's drive to diversify investment partnerships, expand global linkages, and position the country as a leading hub for sustainable and inclusive investment.
