NIPC Joins Inaugural Bauchi Investment Summit 1.0

NIPC Reception

"There's no better time to invest in Nigeria than now" — Vice President Kashim Shettima. On 8 October 2025, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) joined government leaders, investors and industry experts at the Bauchi Investment Summit 1.0, themed "Rebuilding a Resilient Economy: Optimizing Investment & Partnerships."

Representing the Commission, Executive Secretary/CEO Ms Aisha Rimi delivered a goodwill message celebrating Governor Bala Mohammed's leadership in opening up Bauchi's vast potential, and reaffirmed NIPC's commitment to empowering states to attract and sustain investment. "Nigeria's economic transformation starts at the subnational level," Ms Rimi noted, highlighting how NIPC works with State Investment Promotion Agencies to strengthen capacity and investor facilitation.

From a Brazilian company's meat processing plant and a Qatari investor's 100,000-cow dairy to a hydropower-fish farm project and Chinese agro-industrial ventures, Ms Rimi spotlighted success stories proving that when opportunities are clear and policies are right, investors respond confidently.

The summit, graced by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Sultan of Sokoto, and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, positioned Bauchi as a rising hub for agriculture, solid minerals, renewable energy and eco-tourism. With Africa's 1.4 billion-strong AfCFTA market in play, NIPC remains a trusted partner to Bauchi and all states, bridging vision and viable investment.
