The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) participated in the 4th Gold & Gemstone Conference 2025 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, a gathering shaping the future of Africa's mineral economy.
Represented by Ms Jane Uzoegwu, Assistant Director, and Ms Martina Olarinde, Chief Legal Officer, NIPC joined leaders from the Presidency, the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, the Miners Association, Women in Mining, industry operators, investors and experts from across the continent.
From local refining to AfCFTA-driven regional integration, youth and women inclusion, and responsible, safer mining, the conversations underscored a shared mission: shifting Africa from raw mineral exporters to refined-minerals powerhouses.
NIPC's engagement reinforces its mandate to drive investment into Nigeria's mining sector, strengthen value addition, and champion sustainable, responsible growth, deepening partnerships, identifying investment-ready projects, and supporting technology transfer and community-inclusive mining.
