Following the Presidential Official Visit to Türkiye, NIPC, in collaboration with the Nigeria–Türkiye Business Council (NTBC) and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK), hosted a high-level Business Roundtable in Ankara, serving as a strategic bridge between Nigerian policy leaders and over 40 major Turkish investors eager to explore the continent's largest economy.
The Roundtable featured a top Nigerian delegation led by the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Owan Enoh, alongside the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; the Director-General of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa; and the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Ambassador Olusola Enikanolaiye.
In a compelling country presentation, NIPC's Executive Secretary/CEO, Aisha Rimi, detailed Nigeria's evolving investment landscape, highlighting priority sectors ripe for partnership and sharing on-the-ground success stories from Turkish firms already thriving in Nigeria.
The Roundtable served as the operational follow-through to the nine Memoranda of Understanding signed during the Presidential visit, spanning higher education, military cooperation, halal accreditation and media, including the establishment of a Joint Economic and Trade Committee, and marks a decisive step toward doubling bilateral trade volumes between the two nations.
