NIPC Joins Workshop on Solid Minerals Export Policy in Ilorin

NIPC Reception

On 16 February 2026, at the Bovina View Hotel in Ilorin, Kwara State, the conversation shifted from potential to policy — and from policy to action. The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) was represented by the Head of the One Stop Investment Centre (OSIC), Mr Hassan Lawal, alongside Ms Aminat Bello of the Policy Advocacy Department, at a Stakeholders' Sensitisation Seminar on Solid Minerals Export Guidelines in Nigeria.

Organised by the Federal Ministry of Finance with support from the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, the engagement marks a decisive step by the Federal Government to strengthen governance and transparency, improve regulatory efficiency, enhance national security through the issuance of Certificates of Origin, boost pre-export value addition by 30%, combat illegal mining, and accelerate Nigeria's journey toward a $1 trillion GDP.

The seminar was a strategic move towards a future for Nigeria beyond oil. At the roundtable, NIPC reinforced its mandate to actively disseminate these guidelines, provide clarity to investors, and ensure smooth facilitation through the OSIC platform.

The solid minerals sector is rising, and NIPC remains at the centre of enabling sustainable, compliant and investor-ready growth.
