Jigawa is not just preparing for investment: it's earning it. On 24 March 2026, the Jigawa State Government hosted the final evaluation of the Nigerian Investment Certification Programme for States (NICPS), a critical milestone in its journey to becoming a top-tier investment destination.
Led by the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), with support from UK International Development and in collaboration with the Partnership for Agile Governance and Climate Engagement (PACE), the exercise was not merely an assessment: it was a validation of readiness.
The verdict: Jigawa is stepping up strategically, building a strong, investor-friendly ecosystem from policy alignment through to execution. A standout highlight is the newly approved cargo facilities at Dutse International Airport, a development set to open up export potential in sesame, hibiscus, and gum arabic.
NIPC remains committed to enabling states with the tools, frameworks, and global connections needed to attract and retain high-value investment, because when states rise, Nigeria wins.
