Bridging policy and powering investment: the future of Nigeria's incentive landscape is taking shape, with collaboration leading the charge.
A Nigeria Revenue Service team, led by Group Director Nana Hauwa Ibrahim and Acting Director (Levies & Incentives) Clara Obasi, paid a visit to the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), setting the tone for stronger alignment ahead of the rollout of the Economic Development Incentives (EDI) under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025.
Received on behalf of the Executive Secretary/CEO, Ms Aisha Rimi, by Head of Incentives Administration Mrs Uchenna Okonkwo, the engagement went beyond introductions: it focused on building cooperation, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring smooth implementation of incentives that will drive real investment into Nigeria's economy.
Stakeholder engagement on the EDI was set to kick off in Abuja the following week, with nationwide sessions rolling out through April.
