June 30th, 2026

At the 2026 Africa Natural Resources and Energy Investment Summit (AFNIS 2026), the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) reaffirmed its commitment to attracting sustainable investments that drive industrial growth and economic transformation.

Representing the Commission, Mr. Emmanuel Longza, Deputy Director, Investment Promotion, joined global policymakers and industry leaders to discuss how Africa can leverage strategic partnerships, technology transfer, financing, and investment to move beyond exporting raw materials and build globally competitive value chains.

His message was clear: Nigeria must not only mine its resources, but also maximise their value through local processing, industrialisation, innovation, and skills development.

As global supply chains evolve, NIPC continues to position Nigeria as the investment destination of choice by fostering responsible investment, strengthening international partnerships, and creating opportunities that deliver long-term economic growth and shared prosperity.

The future is not just about what Nigeria produces, but the value it creates.
