The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) participated in the Nigerian–Korean Film Screening held at the Korean Cultural Centre, Abuja, demonstrating its commitment to leveraging cultural diplomacy as a catalyst for stronger international partnerships, greater investment opportunities, and the continued growth of Nigeria's creative economy.
Representing the Commission were Divine James and Motunrola Oliyide, Analysts in the Office of the Executive Secretary.
Jointly organised by the Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF) and the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria, the event showcased the Nigerian short film The Bystander, directed by Ferry Benard, alongside the award-winning Korean feature The Host, directed by Bong Joon-ho.
In his keynote address, Mr. Audu Kashim Israel, Director-General of KADIFF, highlighted the power of storytelling as a bridge for cultural exchange, economic diplomacy and investment, underscoring how the creative industry continues to shape stronger bilateral partnerships and unlock new economic opportunities.
