The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) participated in the 17th Annual Meeting of the National Council on Industry, Trade and Investment (NCITI), held from 20–24 July 2026 at the Presidential Hotel, Enugu State, under the theme: "Enhancing Competitiveness in Industry, Trade and Investment for Inclusive Growth and Global Market Integration."

Representing the Commission were Mr. Abayomi Salami, Director of Policy Advocacy Department; Mr. Okeke Nchege, Head, South East Zonal Office (SEZO); and Ms. Uchenna Nnamani, Assistant Chief Investment Officer (ACIO), South East Zonal Office (SEZO).

The meeting served as a platform where policies shaping Nigeria's industrial, trade, and investment landscape were rigorously examined. Out of 103 memoranda submitted by stakeholders, 17 advanced to the Council's plenary, with 15 receiving approval for implementation; a significant step towards strengthening Nigeria's competitiveness and creating a more enabling business environment.

Jointly chaired by the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, the Council reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to fostering sustainable industrialisation, expanding trade opportunities, and attracting quality investments that drive inclusive economic growth.

As Nigeria's foremost Investment Promotion Agency, NIPC remains committed to championing strategic policy advocacy, facilitating investment, and collaborating with stakeholders to position Nigeria as the preferred investment destination in Africa.
