The 1st Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit 2026 is bringing together government, business leaders, investors and key stakeholders to shape a more diversified, productive and investment-driven future for the Niger Delta.

Held from 15–17 September 2026 at the Dr Obi Wali International Conference Centre, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the summit is themed "Driving Investment, Innovation and Industrial Growth in the Niger Delta".

It is organised by the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines and Agriculture (NDCCITMA) in partnership with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). The focus is on realising the region's vast potential beyond oil through investment, industrialisation, innovation, human capital development and regional integration.

Representing the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) are Mr Toyin Oladipo, Head, South-South Zonal Office; Mr Emeka Victor Nwanchukwu, Assistant Director, Investment Promotion; and Omunakwe Glory, Service Provider.

For NIPC, investment promotion goes beyond attracting capital. It is about connecting investors to opportunities, facilitating investment, strengthening partnerships and helping to create an environment where businesses can thrive.

As stakeholders deliberate on bankable investment opportunities, priority sectors and strategies for sustainable growth across the nine Niger Delta states, NIPC continues to play an important role in advancing Nigeria's investment agenda, from opportunity discovery to investment facilitation and aftercare.

The message is clear. The Niger Delta has more to offer, and its next chapter will be driven by investment, innovation and enterprise.
