The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) has emerged No. 1 out of 518 Federal Government institutions nationwide in the 2026 Transparency and Integrity Index (TII), with an impressive score of 84.14%.
The recognition was announced in Abuja on 28 September 2026 at the presentation of the 2026 Transparency and Integrity Index Methodology Handbook. The event was organised by the Centre for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity (CeFTPI) in collaboration with the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR).
The TII assesses public institutions across five critical pillars:
Fiscal Transparency
Open Procurement & Contracting
Control of Corruption
Human Resources & Inclusion
Citizens' Engagement
NIPC was not only ranked first nationwide. It was also one of just four institutions to attain the "Excellent" performance threshold of 70% and above.
Mrs Edith Udo-Udofia, Deputy Director, Policy Advocacy, and Engr Saviour Umoette, Assistant Chief Investment Officer, received the recognition on behalf of the Commission, representing the Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC.
For NIPC, this is more than a ranking. It reflects an institutional culture built around openness, accountability, responsible governance and proactive public disclosure. These are all essential ingredients for an administration that inspires confidence and supports investment.
As Nigeria's premier investment promotion agency, NIPC continues to champion an investment environment where transparency builds trust, good governance strengthens confidence, and confidence drives investment.
84.14%. No. 1 nationwide. 518 institutions assessed. One clear message: transparency matters.
