Post-COVID-19: NIPC Promises Increased Foreign Direct Investment Drive

NIPC Reception

NIPC has pledged its commitment to implement policies that will attract more foreign direct investment and ensure Nigeria emerges strongly from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Executive Secretary, Ms Yewande Sadiku, made this disclosure when the new executive officers of the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN) paid her a courtesy visit in Abuja.

Ms Sadiku said that CICAN, as a major media stakeholder, has a key role to play in repositioning the nation's economy — just as every global economy must do in the aftermath of COVID-19. She stated that the Commission would leverage its existing relationship with CICAN to project Nigeria and its enormous potential as one of Africa's largest markets to prospective foreign investors.
