NIPC's Acting Executive Secretary/CEO, Mr Emeka Offor, has urged Turkish nationals and business owners to invest more in Nigeria. He made this call at the bilateral business forum held during the official visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Nigeria.
In his presentation titled "Nigeria's Business and Investment Environment: Challenges and Prospects", Mr Offor highlighted reforms that have improved the investment climate, including the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020 — signed into law by President Buhari on 7 August 2020 — which introduced significant improvements to Nigeria's doing business environment. He also cited the Finance Acts of 2019 and 2020 as providing additional support for investors.
Mr Offor said Nigeria and Turkey enjoy cordial relations and that the Federal Government and NIPC are willing to expand investment ties. He invited Turkish enterprises intending to commence business in Nigeria to register with NIPC and assured them that the Commission can assist in navigating any challenges encountered in the investment process.
