Acting Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC, Mr Emeka Offor, led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Israeli Embassy in Abuja, ahead of the Innovation Fellowship for Aspiring Investors and Researchers (i-FAIR) 2021/22, scheduled for 7 December 2021 at the Skill "G" Innovation Centre, Abuja.
"Nigeria has the most start-ups in Africa and is a dominant force in the tech space, but falls short on critical elements that help start-ups thrive beyond founding — such as digital infrastructure and access to investment. The Government of Israel, through the i-FAIR initiative, is helping to bridge this gap," said Mr Offor.
The i-FAIR initiative is a partnership between the Embassy of Israel's Skill G Innovative Centre and the Nigerian Government, targeting five focus areas: Agriculture and Food Security, Food Technology, Renewable Energy and Environmental Management, Medical Devices Simulations, and Social Responsibility Solutions. The host, Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul H.E. Yotam Kreiman, noted that the Abuja Innovation Centre affiliated with the Israeli Mission is the only one of its kind anywhere in the world linked to an Israeli diplomatic mission.
