NIPC has received a delegation from Enyimba Economic City Development (EECD) Group to explore a partnership in profiling and promoting the Enyimba Economic City (EEC) project. The EEC is a 9,464-hectare Special Economic Zone planned to connect nine states of the South-East and South-South of Nigeria into a global business hub, serving a captive population of approximately 60 million people.
"Our mandates are aligned, and for Enyimba Economic City we are at a stage of marketing — that is why we would really have you support us in going to market, not just internationally but also domestically," said Zoe Harris, Lead Presenter for the Group. NIPC's Ag. Executive Secretary/CEO, Mr Emeka Offor expressed the Commission's readiness to support the development of the project, and the meeting resulted in an agreement to put in place necessary arrangements to maximise the project's potential.
