NIPC Will Ensure You Are in Safe Hands — Ag. ES/CEO Assures Polish Investors

NIPC Reception

NIPC's Ag. Executive Secretary/CEO Mr Emeka Offor and his team paid a courtesy visit to the Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Joanna Tarnawska, at the Polish Embassy in Abuja. The Ambassador expressed interest in identifying areas of cooperation with NIPC to facilitate Polish investors' interests in Nigeria.

Ambassador Tarnawska acknowledged Nigeria as a favourable investment destination, but noted a negative perception in foreign media and challenges Polish investors face in identifying credible local partners. "Nigeria is a favourable place in general for business, but Polish investors simply do not know how and where to start," she said.

Mr Offor assured the Ambassador of NIPC's full support. "What we always suggest is that prospective investors talk to NIPC first so that we can handhold them — take them through the process. If there are needs to attend certain meetings with regulators, other government agencies or State Governors, we will willingly handhold them and ensure that they are in safe hands," he said. He also highlighted the e-OSIC platform at swip.nipc.gov.ng as a tool enabling investors to access NIPC's one-stop-shop services remotely.

The visit built on NIPC's 2017 engagement at the Polish-Nigeria Trade and Investment Forum in Poznań, which led to some Polish investors visiting Nigeria to pursue business interests. Ambassador Tarnawska committed to a formal follow-up visit to NIPC to firm up details of improving trade and investment relations between the two countries.
