Invitation to the 'Invest-in-Nigeria UAE' Roundtable, 1 April 2022

NIPC Reception

NIPC and Commodities Development Initiative (CDI) are inviting agribusiness operators from Nigeria to the Invest-in-Nigeria UAE Roundtable, to be held on Friday 1 April 2022 at the Habtoor Palace Hotel in Dubai. The Roundtable will be held on the margins of the 11th Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) and the World Government Summit, and will be followed by site visits to selected companies on Saturday 2 April.

The Roundtable will bring together agribusiness operators from Nigeria's public and private sectors to engage with selected agribusiness actors and supply chain companies in the UAE on green and brownfield investments — including strategic alliances, joint ventures, technology licensing, mergers and acquisitions. Internationally recognised agribusiness investor targeting methodology will be used to facilitate participation in pre-qualified opportunities in Nigeria in the context of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

The target sector is agriculture — particularly cashew and shea butter processing for export, rice milling, grains production, soya oil production, and cassava processing — alongside infrastructure projects such as Special Agro Processing Zones (SAPZs), Free Trade Zones, export terminals, ports, roads and dams. The goal is to secure investment commitments of up to US$1 billion on this mission, with a focus on Nigeria's Lagos–Kano–Jibiya (LAKAJI) agricultural growth corridor spanning 13 states.
