NIPC's Ag. Executive Secretary/CEO Mr Emeka Offor has commended the Israeli Government for its engagement in Nigeria's ICT space through activities of its Embassy, while receiving the new Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Michael Freeman, at NIPC headquarters.
"NIPC considers Israel a strategic partner and is desirous of deepening this partnership, especially in our upcoming stakeholder engagements such as the Direct Investors' Summit 2022 (DISN 2022) and Nigerian Conference on Investment for States (NCIS 2022)," said Mr Offor. He particularly commended the Israeli Embassy's Innovation Fellowship for Aspiring Inventors and Researchers (i-FAIR) initiative, a six-month start-up programme developed in partnership with the Office of the Vice President.
Ambassador Freeman reaffirmed the Embassy's commitment to deepening Israeli-Nigerian economic and trade relations. He highlighted Israel's comparative advantage in water management for agriculture — noting that Israel recycles 86% of its water — and expressed interest in exploring high-tech software hubs in Lagos and Abuja as part of a broader ICT engagement with Nigeria.
