The African Development Bank (AfDB) has launched two initiatives to accelerate Nigeria's economic development: the i-DICE (Innovative Digital and Creative Industries for Entrepreneurship) programme and Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZs). NIPC is championing both programmes to potential investors as part of its commitment to driving economic growth and diversification in Nigeria.
The i-DICE programme is designed to harness Nigeria's vast potential in the digital and creative sectors by supporting entrepreneurs and startups through mentorship, training, and access to finance. It aims to cultivate an environment conducive to innovation, empowering entrepreneurs to develop novel solutions to societal challenges, whilst stimulating economic diversification through the expansion of digital and creative enterprises and the generation of employment.
The SAPZ initiative establishes strategically positioned agro-industrial zones equipped with modern infrastructure to enhance agricultural processing and value addition. By integrating agricultural production with value-added processing, SAPZs empower farmers with cutting-edge technology and support services, stimulate agro-industrial development that creates investment opportunities and jobs, and prioritise high-value agricultural products for both domestic consumption and export — supporting Nigeria's quest to enhance competitiveness in global markets.
NIPC invites investors to explore the opportunities available within Nigeria's digital and agro-industrial sectors through these transformative AfDB-backed initiatives. Further details on the i-DICE and SAPZ programmes are available on the African Development Bank's official website.
