NIPC Hosts UTM FLNG Leadership to Discuss Floating Gas Liquefaction Project

NIPC's Executive Secretary/CEO, Ms Aisha Rimi, and Deputy Director/Head of Incentives Administration, Mrs Lovina Kayode, warmly welcomed Mr Julius Rone OFR, GMD of UTM FLNG, and his team.

UTM FLNG Limited is a floating natural gas liquefaction facility project, a groundbreaking venture aimed at harnessing Nigeria's abundant natural gas reserves and boosting both domestic supply and export capabilities.

Located offshore in the Yoho field, Akwa Ibom State, the project will have a production capacity of 1.5 million tonnes of LNG and 300,000 tonnes of LPG per year. With an investment of $5 billion, operations are set to begin by Q4 2026, creating over 7,000 jobs and advancing Nigeria's energy sector.
