On 4 March 2025, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) participated in the Nigeria-Netherlands Solar Investment Roundtable at the Abuja Continental Hotel.
Represented by Mr Emmanuel W. Longza, Deputy Director, Investment Promotion Department, NIPC reaffirmed its commitment to fostering an enabling investment climate in Nigeria's renewable energy sector.
Key highlights included investment-friendly policies such as tax incentives, streamlined processes and enhanced public-private collaboration; the One Stop Investment Centre (OSIC), which simplifies business registration and reduces bureaucratic hurdles; strategic opportunities in off-grid solar, utility-scale renewable energy, energy storage and waste-to-energy projects; and government commitments including zero percent import duty on solar panels and fast-tracked trade facilitation measures.
With vast solar potential and investment-friendly policies, Nigeria is an ideal destination for sustainable energy investments. NIPC remains at the forefront, driving Nigeria's transition to a greener future.
