Strengthening Afri-Caribbean Investment Ties at AACIS '25 01

On 26 March 2025, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) participated in the Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit (AACIS '25), held from 25 to 28 March 2025 at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

Led by Hajja Gana Wakil, Director of Investment Promotion, the NIPC team engaged with global stakeholders to advance investment opportunities between Africa and the Caribbean.

Representing the Executive Secretary/CEO of NIPC, Mr Emmanuel Longza delivered an insightful presentation on 'Understanding the Framework of Afri-Caribbean Investment Promotion.' The presentation highlighted high-growth sectors with significant investment potential, addressed key challenges such as regulatory bottlenecks and market access barriers, and proposed actionable strategies including policy harmonisation and cross-border partnerships.

AACIS '25, organised by Aquarian Consult Ltd in partnership with the Government of St Kitts and Nevis, brought together an elite lineup of policymakers, investors and thought leaders, including the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, the former Prime Minister of Botswana, and representatives from AFREXIM, Nigerian Flour Mills and Olori Atuwatse III of Warri Kingdom.

A key takeaway from the summit was that Africa and the diaspora must collaborate to open up new economic frontiers, with NIPC remaining committed to fostering strategic investments that drive Nigeria's economic growth.
