On 29 April 2025, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), represented by the Executive Secretary/CEO, Ms Aisha Rimi, participated in the inauguration of the Nigeria-Mexico Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held in Abuja. The event convened government officials, private sector leaders, and key industry stakeholders to advance bilateral economic cooperation between Nigeria and Mexico.
His Excellency Alfredo Miranda Ortiz, the Mexican Ambassador to Nigeria, underscored Mexico's dynamic economy and its strengths in sectors such as automotive, agribusiness, electronics, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, processed foods, and metal machinery. He reiterated that enhanced collaboration between both nations has the potential to open up substantial opportunities for trade, investment, technology transfer, and inclusive growth.
NIPC's participation reflects its strategic mandate to promote and facilitate investments that drive Nigeria's economic diversification and global competitiveness. Strengthening ties with Mexico aligns with the Commission's broader objective to position Nigeria as a preferred investment destination and to foster mutually beneficial partnerships across emerging markets.
This milestone marks a promising step toward deepening economic ties, attracting diversified foreign direct investment, and building sustainable prosperity for both nations.
