On 11 July 2025, NIPC's delegation joined over 300 of Nigeria's leading CEOs, investors, and policymakers, including Aliko Dangote, Wale Edun, and Haresh Aswani, at the BusinessDay CEO Forum 2025 in Lagos. Representing the Executive Secretary/CEO, Ms Aisha Rimi, the delegation was led by Mr Abubakar Yerima, Director of Strategic Services, alongside Assistant Director Samuel Ajewole and Principal Officer Abdulrahman Adamu.
Discussions centred on driving economic growth through coordinated fiscal and monetary reforms, positioning Nigeria as a premier investment destination, and identifying emerging trends across energy, infrastructure, and technology. As Nigeria navigates foreign exchange unification, subsidy reforms, and tax restructuring, NIPC continues to serve as a critical enabler, aligning private capital with national development goals and reinforcing investor confidence.
In a notable spotlight, Quaint Energy's hydropower projects in Kogi and Oyo states, valued at over $150 million, are progressing, with NIPC recognised as a key facilitative partner. Beyond power generation, the projects are expected to create employment and stimulate economic activity through integrated large-scale fish farming around the dam reservoirs.
