The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) hosted a delegation from the Guild of Optometric Directors of Nigeria (GOODON), led by Dr Adesuwa Agbontaen, for a dialogue on investment opportunities in the eye care sub-sector.
The delegation was received by Ms Hajja Wakil on behalf of the Commission, who welcomed the engagement as a step towards strengthening collaboration between NIPC and private players in the healthcare space.
Discussions centred on the gaps and opportunities in Nigeria's eye care industry, including the potential for investment in local manufacturing of optical products, expansion of specialist eye clinics, and improved access to vision care services nationwide.
NIPC reiterated its commitment to supporting investors in the healthcare sector, noting that improved eye care services align with the Commission's broader push to attract investment that improves quality of life for Nigerians while creating new business opportunities.
