The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) participated in the Nigeria–Egypt Business Forum 2025, themed "Fostering Strategic Partnerships for Shared Prosperity", hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Egyptian Embassy in Nigeria in Abuja. This high-level event aimed to deepen economic ties between both nations, drawing key players from the public and private sectors.
Notable attendees included H.E. Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Minister, and H.E. Dr Badr Abdel Aaty, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, who led a delegation of 30 Egyptian companies exploring opportunities in energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, mining and oil and gas. Ms Aisha Rimi, NIPC CEO, highlighted the Commission's role in driving investment and cross-border partnerships.
The forum spotlighted NIPC's commitment to enabling investor engagement, aligning trade frameworks and positioning Nigeria as a key investment hub in West and Central Africa. The strong Egyptian turnout reflected growing investor confidence and a shared vision for sustainable growth.
Discussions also included plans to establish a Nigeria–Egypt Joint Commission to institutionalise collaboration and boost bilateral trade. NIPC remains central to this evolving partnership, shaping a prosperous future for both nations.
