On Monday, 21 July 2025, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) hosted the 3rd Meeting of the Japan-Nigeria Business Facilitation Council (JNBFC), co-chaired with the Embassy of Japan in Nigeria.
This high-level meeting brought together leading Japanese companies investing in Nigeria, alongside key representatives from Nigerian Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), to share investment updates, address operational challenges and deepen bilateral collaboration.
The session underscored the strategic importance of fostering a more enabling and predictable business environment, one that drives sustainable investment and long-term economic cooperation between Japan and Nigeria.
Notably in attendance were the Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, as well as the Country Heads of JICA and JETRO, reaffirming Japan's commitment to strengthening commercial and diplomatic ties.
NIPC CEO Aisha Rimi reiterated the Commission's unwavering dedication to its facilitation role and to promoting shared prosperity through transparent and impactful investment partnerships.
