$150M Investment Boost for Katsina State

The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) is opening new doors for transformative investments in Nigeria.

Guided by the foresight of Executive Secretary/CEO Ms Aisha Rimi, NIPC continues to connect global investors with Nigeria's brightest opportunities. In Katsina State, a delegation of 25 Chinese investors committed $150 million across six sectors: agriculture, energy, fisheries, leather processing, solar assembly, and the Katsina State Green Economic Zone.

The investment commitments span several concrete projects, including development of 2,500 hectares at Sabke Dam for maize cultivation for livestock feed; a complete fisheries value chain on 380 hectares at Dabirang Dam; a leather processing factory; an agricultural research institute focused on goat and cattle breeding; expansion of the Goat Breeding Centre at Ladanawa; a solar power products assembly plant; an agricultural commodities commercial centre; and establishment of the Katsina State Green Economic Zone. In total, the projects will require approximately 4,000 hectares of land.

NIPC was represented on the ground by Mr Abubakar Yerima, Director of Strategic Services, ensuring the Commission's role as the bridge between investors and impactful opportunities.

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda pledged full support, highlighting the massive potential for job creation, economic diversification, and sustainable development in the state. "Katsina is open for business," the governor affirmed, reiterating his administration's commitment to working closely with NIPC and the investors to translate commitments into tangible results.

With NIPC at the forefront, Nigeria is truly open for business, driving investments that transform communities and power national growth.
